How to use it

Add the PDF

Drop the document above or click to browse. It stays on your device the whole time.

Draw or type your signature

Sign in the box with the mouse or a finger, or leave it empty and type your name instead — a typed name is rendered in a handwriting-style face. If you draw something, the drawing is what gets used.

Choose where it goes

Pick the last page, the first page, or every page, and the corner to place the signature in. A long name looks best a little wider, so raise the width if it runs towards the edge.

Add a date if you want one

Open Advanced options to add a date line under the signature and to change how wide the signature is drawn.

Download the signed PDF

Press the button and the signature is written onto the pages you chose. The file you started from is left untouched.

Common issues

The signature lands half off the page

A long typed name at a large width can overflow a corner. Reduce the width in Advanced options, or choose the opposite corner so there is room.

Your drawing was ignored and the typed name was used

That means the box was treated as empty — most likely the stroke did not register. Try again and watch the ink appear in the box as you draw.

The signature is not where you wanted it

Placement is chosen from a list of corners rather than by dragging. If it is not right, pick a different corner — bottom right suits most documents.

The date sits on top of the signature

That happens when the signature is placed very low on the page. Move it to the top-right corner, or leave the date field empty.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legal electronic signature?
It places a visible signature on the page, which is an electronic signature in the everyday sense and is accepted for many internal and personal documents. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so it does not cryptographically prove who signed or that the file was not changed afterwards.
Can I sign with a finger on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The signature box accepts touch, so you can sign directly on a touchscreen.
What happens if I both draw and type a name?
The drawing wins. The typed name is only used when the box is empty, which makes it a fast fallback rather than something you have to clear first.
Can I put the signature on every page?
Yes. Set the placement to "Every page" and the same signature is drawn on each one, in the corner you choose.
The signature is too big or too small
Open Advanced options and change the signature width. The height follows automatically, so the signature is never stretched out of shape.
Can I add the date under the signature?
Yes — type it into the date field in Advanced options and it is drawn as small text beneath the signature.
Can I sign more than one document at once?
Not with this tool; it signs a single file so the placement stays predictable. Sign each document separately, or merge them with Merge PDF first and sign the combined file.
Does the signature become part of the page?
It is drawn onto the page as an image, so it moves and scales with the page and appears when printed. It is not a separate layer you can click on and remove in most viewers.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Both the PDF and your signature are handled entirely in your browser.
