Rotate and Delete PDF Pages

Straighten a sideways scan, turn one page the right way up, or strip out pages you do not want to share — without uploading the document.

Files are never uploaded

How to use it

Add the PDF

Drop the file above or click to browse. The page count is shown so you can plan which pages to keep.

Choose a rotation

Pick 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counter-clockwise. Turning a page twice by 90° in either direction is the same as a single 180° turn.

Say which pages turn

Leave "Rotate which pages" on All pages when the whole document is sideways, or choose Custom pages and list only the ones that need it, for example "1, 3, 5-7".

List the pages to remove

Type the pages you do not want in "Pages to delete", for example "2, 8-10". Leave it blank to keep the whole document.

Apply and download

Press the button. You get a new PDF holding the kept pages in their original order with the rotation applied. The file on your computer is untouched.

Common issues

Only a few pages need turning

If you leave the setting on All pages but only the landscape photographs are the wrong way up, the upright text pages are turned too and end up sideways. Use Custom pages and list only the ones that need it.

A page that already looks correct comes out upside down

Rotation adds to the orientation a page already has rather than replacing it. If a page ends up wrong, run the tool on the original file with the opposite angle instead of rotating the result a second time.

You cannot delete every page

A PDF must contain at least one page, so a delete list that covers the whole document is refused. Keep at least one page, or use Split PDF if the goal is to isolate a single page.

Removing pages barely shrinks the file

Removed pages are simply left out of the new document, and resources they shared with other pages may still be referenced elsewhere. For a real reduction in size, run Compress PDF afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rotate only one page?
Set "Rotate which pages" to Custom pages, then type that page number, for example "3".
What does deleting a page do?
The chosen pages are omitted from the new document. Nothing is removed from the file on your computer.
Can I undo a rotation?
Re-run the tool on the original file with a 270° rotation to reverse a 90° turn, or simply start again from the untouched original.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Rotation is stored as a page attribute, so the page content is never re-rendered or re-compressed.
Why can I not delete every page?
A PDF must contain at least one page, so the last remaining page cannot be removed.
Can I rotate and delete in the same pass?
Yes. Set a rotation and a list of pages to delete and they are applied together: the pages you keep are turned and the pages you list are dropped from the result.
Do the page numbers in my list have to be in order?
No. "5, 2, 9" behaves exactly like "2, 5, 9". The list is read as a set of pages rather than a sequence, so the order you type does not matter.
What if a page number I list does not exist?
The tool reports the value that is out of range and stops, instead of producing a file that is quietly missing a page. Correct the number and run it again.
Will deleting pages renumber the rest?
The pages you keep preserve their original order and are placed one after another, so the result simply begins at page 1 and counts up. The gaps left by removed pages are closed.
